Nyota Uhura was the Enterprise communications officer. Born to African parents on Earth, this stunning lady served faithful with Captain Kirk and his crew during their initial five-year mission. Besides serving as a valuable link between the starship and any team on a mission, she also enjoyed entertaining the crew. Her singing and instrument playing infatuated many a crewman. Uhura was also well respected by the other officers of the Enterprise, including Spock and Scotty and worked with them, and was often put in charge of the bridge when Kirk would need to step away.
Lieutenant Uhura was released in 2002 as part of the first wave of figures in Art Asylum’s Star Trek: The Original Series action figure collection.
