Captain Clark Terrell was a happy man. He was glad to be commanding the starship Reliant as she explored planetoids in support of the Genesis project. He even lead the away mission to Ceti Alpha VI with his first officer, Pavel Chekov when they discovered some anomalies.
Unfortunately, the anomaly he stumbled on was named Khan, and the planet wasn't Ceti Alpha VI but a desolated Ceti Alpha V. Angry at being stranded by Kirk and his crew, Khan vowed revenge and used Terrell, Chekov and the Reliant to do so. Terrel was forced to have a Ceti eel inserted into his ear, where the parasitic beast rendered him susceptible to suggestion. Khan then order Terrell to lead the Reliant on a mission to Regula I space-station to destroy the scientists and capture the Genesis device. In a final act of will power, Terrell turned a phaser on himself, rather than killing Admiral Kirk, as ordered by Khan. His death empowered Kirk to seek out Khan and the Reliant, and to extract justice for Khan's rampant destruction.
Captain Terrell was release as part of the first wave of figures in the Wrath Of Khan action figure collection.
