Marvel's Kang, also known as Nathaniel Richards, was born on Other Earth during the thirty-first century. Kang's first comic book appearance (as Rama-Tut) took place in Fantastic Four issue 19, which was released in 1963, however, his next official appearance as Kang himself took place in Avengers issue 8, released the following year.

Revealed in July at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro's fourth series and nineteenth wave of Marvel Universe action figures includes Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Punisher, Kang, Shattered Dimension (Future Foundation) Spider-Man, as well as a Bag-Man variant action figure. This assortment of Marvel Universe action figures began shipping in October 2012.
