Designated as a variant for the nineteenth assortment of Marvel Universe action figures is Bag Head Spider-Man. As Spider-Man's black suit was being dissected, he needed a loaner outfit to conceal his identity- so what better way to hide his face than with a paper bag! The bag is not removable from Spider-Man's head.

Revealed in July at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro's fourth series and nineteenth wave of Marvel Universe action figures includes Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Punisher, Kang, Shattered Dimension (Future Foundation) Spider-Man, as well as a Bag-Man variant action figure. This assortment of Marvel Universe action figures began shipping in October 2012.
