Pokemon Company: New TCG Expansion Champion's Path Revealed

Posted by: Nick on July 23, 2020 at 11:41 AM CST

Check out the gallery here.

In Champion’s Path, Trainers will have the unique ability to “recreate” their journey through the Galar region in the Pokémon TCG by collecting various pins featuring Gym logos as well as foil cards representing the partner Pokémon of each Gym Leader—similar to what they’d experience in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games. Key highlights from the set include 11 Pokémon V plus four full-art Pokémon V, three Pokémon VMAX, and one full-art Supporter card. Trainers will be able to discover Venusaur, Lucario, and Incineroar as new Pokémon V—plus Gigantamax Pokémon like Drednaw VMAX and Alcremie VMAX.

Champion’s Path Pin Collection and Champion’s Path Special Pin Collection
The Champion’s Path Pin Collection includes six versions—each themed after a different Gym Leader in the Galar region with a corresponding pin and foil card. Pin collections based on Milo’s Turffield Gym, Nessa’s Hulbury Gym, and Kabu’s Motostoke Gym will release on September 25, 2020, while pin collections inspired by Opal’s Ballonlea Gym, Piers’ Spikemuth Gym, and Raihan’s Hammerlocke Gym will launch on November 13, 2020.

In addition, the Champion’s Path Special Pin Collection comes with two versions representing the Stow-on-Side Gym and Circhester Gym. In each of these pin collections, Trainers will find collector’s pins featuring each Gym’s two logos and two foil cards showcasing the partner Pokémon of both Gym Leaders. The Champion’s Path Special Pin Collection will be available on October 2, 2020.

Trainers can choose to represent their favorite Gym Leader or even collect the full lineup.

Champion’s Path Elite Trainer Box
Arriving on September 25, 2020, the Champion’s Path Elite Trainer Box features Gigantamax Charizard and comes with a full-art promo card of Charizard V, 10 Champion’s Path booster packs, and various gameplay accessories.

Champion’s Path Collection—Dubwool V and Champion’s Path Collection—Hatterene V
Trainers can also look forward to the Champion’s Path Collection—Dubwool V on September 25, 2020, and the Champion’s Path Collection—Hatterene V on October 23, 2020. These boxes include a foil promo card and foil oversize card of either Dubwool V or Hatterene V, as well as four Champion’s Path booster packs.

Champion’s Path Marnie Special Collection
Lastly, the Champion’s Path Marnie Special Collection will be available on October 23, 2020, and comes with two Pokémon V promo cards, eight Champion’s Path booster packs, two collector’s pins, and a Pokémon TCG playmat.
