2009 Iron Man Mark I figure selling at roughly $800 a piece on the secondary market, Hot Toys decided to go back to the design and make it available once more so those that missed out the first time could complete their Movie Masterpiece Series Iron Man armoury. This time around, the high end Hong Kong toy company updated the head sculpt, paint design, and light up features. The Iron Man Mark I 2.0, which was first teased on January 1st, 2012 (and fully revealed eleven days later), also featured a new environment display base, a clip on Flame torch blast accessory, and in certain specialty markets a Holographic Mark I 3 3/4 figure.
