Every year, Comic-Con becomes more expansive and more geared toward mainstream pop culture brands and franchises. Indeed Hollywood has fully taken over the convention, with highly-anticipated films and television shows of all kinds taking center stage.

CTR participated in more than just toy coverage at this year's SDCC, taking in movie screenings & preview footage and interviewing filmmakers & celebrities. This is part of a strategy to not only delve deeper into the franchises that spawn many of the toys and collectibles we cover, but also to lay the groundwork for a possible new venture that would have the crew behind our sites covering much more than just collectibles.
