eBay Today: The Incredibly Rare Elastic Stretch Hulk
Published by D_Martin on April 17, 2013 at 11:41 PM CST |

Launched in 1979 (that's right kids, 1979. The year that turned toys into collectibles for most adult collectors), Mego's Elastic Heroes line took the concept behind Kenner's Stretch Armstrong to the world of licensed products. This range of toys included stretchy versions of Batman, Spider-Man, Plastic Man, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Casper The Ghost and The Hulk. Kenner didn't like this copyright infringement, and as it turns out, the legal pressure Kenner applied to Mego lead to the quick demise of the Elastic Heroes collection.

As such, the Hulk, which was the last figure produced in the assortment, saw an extremely short production run and few are known to exist in any condition. It is believed that there are as few as twenty known to exist. That being said, collectors looking at owning an incredibly cool and extremely rare toy will want to follow this link to check out the Mego Elastic Stretch Hulk auction currently running on eBay.
