Hobbit News: Del Toro Confirmed Posted by D_Martin on April 24, 2008 at 07:06 PM CST: It has just been confirmed that Guillermo del Toro, the visionary filmmaker behind The Devil's Backbone, Pan's Labyrinth, Blade 2, and both Hellboy films, will be the director of both feature films based on The Hobbit. Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, is still attached to the project as executive producer. THe films are planned to come out in 2011 and 2012.
