Toy Fair 2013: Hasbro's Marvel Presentation
Published by AnthonyP on February 9, 2013 at 05:21 PM CST |

Let's start off with the Marvel Legends Wolverine line (there were lots of happy yes's screeched from the crowd when this was announced). Celebrating the Wolverine film scheduled to be released this summer, this line will see retail shelves in June 2013 and is to include the following figures:

Emma Frost
Sabretooth (which is the first time Hasbro has done this figure)
Rogue
Phoenix Cyclops
Wolverine
Build -A-Figure Puck (Let me tell you, he's deceivingly small)

If you're a fan of Hasbro's build-a-figure element, continue reading for more surprises!

Now, let's move on to Iron Man 3. This is a license that's extremely hot in the days leading up to the third film and Hasbro doesn't let collectors down with what they have to offer. Hasbro's all-new action figure assortment The Assemblers, is the first time Hasbro brings us a buildable and customizeable action figure. As comic fans know, Tony Stark is known for his genius trinkets and gadgets as well his leading innovations and Hasbro brings those aspects directly to their consumers.

With The Assemblers line, kits and collectors will receive a 3.75" figure with additional parts. The interchangeable armor aspect is really neat, so the more you buy, the more you are able to swap and change parts for the perfect suit of armor. In total, three waves were shown, each wave consisting of different armor silhouettes and colors. Look for these customizeable figures to be released this Fall!

Following The Assemblers line, we get a look at their Amazing Scale Iron Man, which is Hasbro's largest scale Iron Man figure. This figure will feature lights and sounds along with an amazing gatling gun, which actually fires rockets when powered-up. The good thing is, you don't have to wait long for this figure, as we'll be hitting store shelves in the coming days.

As we move along, we'll stick to the Iron Man 3 theme, but this time with even more Marvel Legends reveals! The Iron Man Legends line nods to both the modern versions and classic version of Iron Man. Among some figures revealed include:

Iron Patriot
Iron Man Mark 42
Ultron Classic
and more!

Now, all of these Iron Man figures (from two separate waves) will come packaged with individual pieces to build your very own Iron Monger figure who stands 8-inches tall.

Another hot topic of the day is The Avengers Assemble. With The Avengers movie becoming an amazing success at the box office, Marvel Studios will be releasing The Avengers Assemble, which will be a new cartoon airing on Disney XD this summer. Hasbro will be supporting this initiative with some super-awesome 3.75" action figures portrayed as they are seen in the cartoon series and will be available at retail this coming Fall.

Okay, as if we didn't have enough entertainment this year, Hasbro will also be releasing action figures based off the coming film Thor: The Dark World, and let me tell you, these action figures do not disappoint. The first time shown to anybody, look for the following 3.75" figures to be released this November:

Thor
Thor with Lightning Hammer
Loki
Dark Elf

Of course, Thor toys would not be complete without role play, right? Be on the look-out for Thor helmets, and two hammers, one with lightning bolts and the other, a foam hammer with a shake-switch and lighting features.

For you Marvel Universe Collectors, there was no shortage of awesome reveals at the Hasbro Presentation. Upcoming figures (which we've already seen) include:

Rhino
Mysterio
Elektra
Captain America

New Figure Reveals Include:

Cloak & Daggar
Baron Zemo
Abomination
Abomination Colored Variant

Following the individual figure presentation, we get a look at upcoming three-packs, which include:

Emma Frost, Juggernaut Colossus, and Cyclops

Thor, Valkyrie, and Skurge

And finally, the Big H saves the best for last and reveals upcoming Marvel Legends action figures from their main line. The second wave of 2013 is to include the following figures;

Scarlet Spider-Man
Black Panther
Bulldozer & Wrecker
Modern & Classic Hawkeye
Classic Jean Grey & Age Of Apocalypse Jean Grey & White Phoenix Jean Grey

Get ready for this, the build-a-figure for this wave will be...Rocket Raccoon! Definitely a long-awaited fan favorite.

We're also treated to sneak-peeks of Baron Zemo, Frostbite, Moonstone, and Songbird.

Stay tuned for more updated from the Hasbro Presentation at the 2013 Toy Fair.
