Here's a small gallery of new figures that are now on display at the Hasbro Booth at the Official 2007 G.I. Joe Collectors Convention. Making their official debut today, the Dreadnocks are going to be part of a new Comic Packs set in 2008, and Grand Slam has now been fixed up, since he broke yesterday (Doc must have been working overtime last night!). Also, much like the Flash figure, he'll have the "waffle pattern" on his armor, and his belt buckle also has the old Hasbro logo on it! Full Report

Diamond Select Toys: Mega Rare Star Trek Figures
History repeats itself as Diamond Select Toys prepares to release a Star Trek figure with a 1701 piece production run. The figure in question is a new Star Trek: First Contact Data figure with interchangeable battle-damaged head and arm to replicate the character's experiences at the hands of the Borg Queen. Previously, Playmates produced three figures with the same production numbers and collectors reaction was anything but positive. It will be interesting to see if this figure warrants the same negative attention. Full Report

NECA: Cult Classic Zombie Update
Continuing their pictorial updates for the 6" Cult Classics action figure series, NECA has revealed the packaging art of the Hare Krishna Zombie figure. With the addition of this figure in the sixth wave of the popular line, NECA has [un]officially slipped us a subline of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead figures (by our reckoning, it takes 3 unique figures to create a 'subline' for a cult film, and since we here at CTR love Zombies almost as much as we love Mr. T, that's a good thing). McFarlane Toys: NHL Set For Expansion
Doesn't it seem like the NHL is always expanding? In keeping with tradition McFarlane Toys has decided to do a little NHL expansion of its own. Beginning in January, McFarlane's Sports Picks NHL waves will feature six unique figures instead of the usual four. The first round will feature repainted, retro versions of Trevor Linden and Joe Sakic in their Vancouver Canucks and Quebec Nordiques garbs, repectively. However, future waves promise the prospect of entirely new scuplts. The retro duo join Toronto's Jason Blake, Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin, Washington's Alexander Ovechkin and Buffalo's Ryan Miller to comprise wave 17. Strong sales, particularly in Canada, factored in the decission to expand the waves. Full Report
