Our teaser gallery and expanded press images for Funko Games and Funkoverse.

A lot to tackle here, so we will start with Funko Games and what is to come. First, since we are at the 35th commemoration of Back to the Future, there is a Back to the Future strategy game. Based on the story of the first game and it's iconic moments, you can play as Doc, Marty, Jennifer, and even Einstein. The objective is to get the DeLorean through town, fixed up at Doc's house, and back to main street to send it on its way in time. However, along the way, you need to keep Marty's parents in love or else he will cease to exist. In an amazing attention to detail, the game includes the Polaroid photo that disappears if you fail to keep Marty's parents love meter high enough. So cool! Expect to see this in early summer.

Another game that stood out to us was Last Defense. This is a fast-paced strategy game that seems perfect for a family game night, featuring a mixture of mediums of board games and phone apps. Various sci-fi creatures are attacking your town and in an Orson Wells style broadcast, details emerge through the game requiring you to handle a unique set of challenges by finding resources and working together to resolve the problem in 20 real world minutes. The game randomizes each time to give variety to the gameplay and encourage replay. Expect to see this later this fall.

There were also some great strategy games pertaining to Pan Am, Godzilla, and Yacht Rock. We didn't have a chance within our time period to fully explore all of these games in detail but from the details we got they seem to be challenging, engaging, and fun. You can check out the details on these in the Funko Games press images gallery.

On the other side of Funko Games we saw the Funkoverse games. For those of you not familiar, these are strategy games that include smaller versions of the classic Pop! figures from the various licenses. The big difference here is that these Pop! figures come with accessories and the ability to swap accessories between figures, changing up the game play. Imagine the Shark from Jaws, with a chainsaw, playing against the Golden Girls!!! That's right, you can mix and match across games making for limitless fun and gam customization. Continue to add sets or simply play on the one you have. Right now you can get games that cover DC, Harry Potter, the Golden Girls, and Rick and Morty. All of which feature Pop! figures unique to the games.

New entries to the Funkoverse series are starting this March. They will include:

-Aggrestsuko! with the title character - March
-Golden Girls with Dorothy and Sophia - March
-Jurassic Park with Grant, Ellie, Ray, and a Raptor - March (FYI the first time we are getting Ray Arnold in Pop! form)
-Jurassic Park with Malcolm and T-Rex - March
-Back to the Future with Doc and Marty - June
-DC Comics with Wonder Woman and the Cheetah - August

Check out the Funkoverse gallery for images and details on all the games.
